Week 4: Inside the Bears numbers by STATS
Courtesy of Bears writer Adam Jahns and the folks at STATS: The Bears’ offense still is evolving. But one theme is emerging: it will be a balanced attack. Coach Marc Trestman will use quarterback Jay Cutler’s arm and running back Matt Forte’s legs.
“It takes all 11,” Cutler said. “I think the more you’re around it as a player, you realize offense, defense and special teams, how everybody’s connected, how it takes an entire team. Offensively, you can have one great player, but without the other 10, it’s hard to be successful out there.”
Here’s a team-by-team breakdown of how they’re mixing it up offensively between the pass and run game:

Coach Marc Trestman is doing as promised and getting running back Matt Forte more involved in the passing game. He’s just too good not to.
The Bears are among the league leaders in receptions by running backs and Forte has all of them. He’s often quarterback Jay Cutler’s first or second reads on his progressions.
