Patrick Kane leaves game with apparent leg injury
Patrick Kane left the Blackhawks’ game against the St. Louis Bues at the 7:30 mark of the second period after suffering an apparent left leg injury. After Sheldon Brookbank hit Brendan Morrow along the boards, Morrow fell on Kane’s leg. Kane went down to the ice and stayed on his knees for a few seconds before slowly getting up and limping off. After staying on the bench for a minute or two, he headed back to the dressing room.
Joel Quenneville said Kane would be out about three weeks, and wasn’t sure if the star winger would return before the end of the regular season on April 12.
Kane is tied with Patrick Sharp for the team lead in goals, assists and points, each with 29 goals and 39 assists.
