Lovie Smith says Bears need to “find more ways” to get Devin Hester the ballContinue reading.
Devin Hester calls himself the NFL’s best player, says he wants to play wide receiver again
He’s not lacking for confidence. He was asked by ESPN Radio 106.3 FM in West Palm Beach, Fla., who was the league’s best all-around player.
“Me,” he said. “I can go and play corner, I can go and play receiver. I can play running back … and I can play a little bit of safety, as well as kickoff and punt returner.”
He wants to return to playing receiver, too, a position the Bears moved him off last year.
“I can come in on offense as a third receiver,” he said. “I’m not looking to come in and be a no. 1. I want to come in a be a solid No. 2, No. 3 receiver.”
Asked who would be interested in him as a returner, he smiled.
“The teams I did damage to,” he said. “Those are the teams reaching out, pretty much.”
