Digital agency 87AM breaks into Chicago market, brings a handful of jobs
Digital creative agency 87AM has landed in Chicago — bringing at least 10 jobs to its Michigan Avenue office and the possibility for more when it moves into a larger space this fall.
The New York-based firm launched its touring and regional live entertainment division here on July 8. The division will work on branding, marketing and development for Chicago-area museums, theaters and art venues. The firm eventually plans to expand its Chicago operations to include the consumer packaging goods industry.
Chicago is a good fit for 87AM because of its access to world-class entertainment and consumer goods,” says Adam Cunningham, the firm’s CEO.
The agency will share resources and office space with Allied Integrated Marketing, which has 30 employees at 500 N. Michigan. Not all of the 87AM jobs have been filled, Allied spokeswoman Ginger Chan says. Allied is a minority investor in 87AM.
Wayne McWorter, most recently vice president of marketing for the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood, will head the Chicago operation. Some of 87AM’s clients include Paramount, Warner Bros., Kraft and L’Oreal.
