Amanda Bynes held after allegedly setting a fire
Amanda Bynes’ family and friends are hopeful the troubled actress’ latest legal run-in finally will force her into a facility for psychological counseling.
Bynes already has been hospitalized by the authorities under California’s “5150” psychiatric hold — after allegedly starting a fire in a driveway at a home in Thousand Oaks, Calif. late Monday.
After the deputies questioned Bynes, they determined she needed to be held under a 5150 hold — an involuntary hospitalization for mental health evaluation and observation.
“This is just the latest example of why Amanda needs major help,” said a friend Tuesday. “On top of this, she was supposedly trying to gain entry to a retirement home — also in Thousand Oaks — the same day! And she had no business being there either,” added the source.
